James "Jim" R. Frymyer, age 93 of Akron, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on January 7, 2022.
Jim was born on June 2, 1928 in Akron, Ohio to Brooks and Pearl (Taylor) Frymyer. He retired after 27 years at Firestone working as an electrician. He married his wife on October 13, 1946 and enjoyed 75 years of marriage. Jim enjoyed doing woodworking including built cabinets, cedar chests, outdoor animal houses, and he built his own home. He loved spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and 6 siblings.
Jim will be deeply missed by his loving wife, Julia, children, James (Carol) Frymyer, Jr., Robert (Kim) Frymyer, and Cathy (Stewart) Rigby, 9 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 8 great great-grandchildren, important friend and caregiver, Glenda Miron, and many other special friends.
Per Jim's wishes, cremation will take place.
The family would like to say a special thanks to Homestead Hospice, including his special nurse, Heather.
