James L. Gooden
James L. Gooden, 56, passed away on August 17, 2008. He was born in Akron, OH on July 15, 1952 to the late Vernon and Mary Gooden. James retired from the Akron Chair Co. after 10 years of service. He was a member of the Mogadore Moose 1082 and the Fraternal Order of the Eagles. He enjoyed fishing and the outdoors. James will be remembered as a positive, fun-loving person who had no enemies. He will be greatly missed by his family and numerous friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Kenny and nephew Andy Guthier. Survivors include his daughter Jessica (Tim) Neckar; son Jason Lee (Lisa McQuain); grandson Nate Neckar; sister Sue (Raymond) Guthier; brother Randall (Linda); sister-in-law Naomi Gooden; and several nieces and nephews. He will also be missed by his beloved dog Sandy. Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Friday, 11 a.m. at Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Summa.
