James H. Vest
James H. Vest, 65, of Cuyahoga Falls, passed away on June 2, 2012. Jim was born in Akron on November 7, 1946. Jim proudly served in the U.S. Army. He drove trucks for his entire career, retiring from both Waste Management and Portage County. He also worked for the Cuyahoga Falls Natatorium. In his free time, Jim enjoyed fishing, caring for stray animals, and spending time with family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Vest; sister, Beverly French; and brother, Mark Vest. He will be deeply missed by his children, Kim (Dave) Wiley and Jim Vest; mother, Grace Tanner; companion Pat Miller; sister, Linda Tanner; brother, Joe (Candy) Vest; and grandchildren, Bud and Corey. Visitation will be Thursday, June 7 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd. Private burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery.
