James A. Hizer
James A. Hizer, 58, passed away March 8, 2005. James served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He was employed at Singer Steel in Streetsboro and formerly employed at Greer Steel in Dover for 27 1/2 years. In his free time, James enjoyed hunting, fishing, computers, and motorcycles. He had a great sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his father, Arby and brother, Arby, Jr. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Hizer; mother, Alice Hizer; son, James Gregory Hizer; stepchildren, Crystal, Angela, and Joseph Kouns; sisters, Alice Jones, Sue Hizer, Phyllis (Joe) Verhovec, and Delores Morton; grandchildren, Serafina and Daemyn Hizer. Calling hours will be from from 5 - 7 p.m. Friday at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. with a funeral service beginning at 7:00 p.m.
