James E. Jacobs, age 77, passed away on June 19, 2024. He was born in Akron on December 10, 1946, to the late Francis and Rose Jacobs. He was a graduate of Cuyahoga Falls High School class of 1964. Jim drove truck for Alside for many years. He was an avid NASCAR fan and loved old movies.
He is survived by his children Trecia (David) Edmunds, and Sean Jacobs; siblings Joe (Lu) Jacobs of Nashville, Dennis (Kathy) Jacobs, Jerry (Debbie) Jacobs, Bobby (Julie) Jacobs all of Cuyahoga Falls, Rosemary (Glenn) Luttner of Twin Lakes; grandchildren Melanie Williamson, Ashley Wakefield, Amanda (Nate) Jacobs, Austin Jacobs; great-grandchildren Isaac Williamson, and Mackenzie Lucas; and a very special friend Sharlene Baker; and best friends Jim Forester, and Dan McDermont.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Sharon Jacobs.
The family will have a Celebration of Life service at a later date.
