James Jalm, Sr

James "Jim" Jalm, Sr., 80, of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio passed away August 20, 2021 with his loving wife and family by his side. Born in Akron to Harry and Evelyn (Robinson) Jalm, he lived all of his life in Cuyahoga Falls. Jim graduated from CFHS and retired from Prospect Mold & Die after 44 years of service. He had been a member of Northampton Bible Church, Goodyear boating, fishing and archery clubs, and along with his wife belonged to golf and bowling leagues. Jim was a devoted husband, father and grandpa who enjoyed family vacations and time spent with his grandkids.

Jim leaves behind his loving wife Kathy "Shortie" who he married in 1962. Being an only child, nothing was more important to him than his family. He also leaves behind his daughter, Diane (Denny) Bader; son, Jim, Jr. (Sherry); 9 grandchildren, Bob (Rachel) Bader, Jason (Tina) Bader, Tammy Bader (Kevin Knouff), Trevor (Tonya) Bader, Taylor (Austin) Adsit, Curtis Jalm, Sheena Bader, Megan Bader; his "little buddy" Riley Bader; 18 great children with #19 Kolton due in February; 15 great great grandchildren; sister -in-law, Patty (Larry) Miller; brother-in-law, Denny Taylor; 4 half brother-in-laws and 1 half sister-in-law, along with several nieces, nephews and friends. He also leaves behind his beloved dogs, Maggie and Izzy, who were by his side until the end.

Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will immediately follow at 1 p.m. at the funeral home with PastorJohn DeMund officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Jim's name to the Oakwood Cemetery Chapel, 1930 Front St., Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 44221.
