James Daniel Johnson

Our beloved Jimmy, 46, lost his battle with cancer on October 19, 2017. Jimmy was born on July 6, 1971 in Akron. He was a very family oriented person. He enjoyed working on cars, selling tires, fishing, sports, making people laugh, and drinking his cold beer. Jimmy was a man of many talents. Preceded in death by his father, Jim; stepfather, Terry Blomgren; and grandparents. He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Mary Blomgren; daughter, Heather Nicole (Brook) Vardon; grandchildren, ZaNiya, Zaidyn, Zayvion, and ZaRiya; half sisters, Jennifer (Russ) Hammon, Jammie (Brandon) Coon, and Jessica Smallwood; 4 stepsisters and 2 stepbrothers; longtime girlfriend, Felicia Lewis; many loving aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many, many friends. Family will receive friends at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 3-9 p.m., where funeral services will be held on Monday at 12:30 p.m. Interment at East Liberty Cemetery.
