James L. "Jim" Kelley, age 58 of Akron passed away on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. He was born in Fort Campbell, KY on October 28, 1962, the son of Mike and Glenna {Triplett} Kelley.
Jim will be dearly missed by his longtime love, Brenda Andrews; children Allison and Jimmy Kelley; step-children Brooke (Bill) Petty and Donald (Kelly) Andrews; grandchildren Aiden, Aaron, Elizabeth, Noah and Matthew; parents Mike and Glenna; sister Lisa Kelley-Spencer; nephews Scott and Nate Spencer; many dear friends.
Jim loved to be outside, and could often be found in front of the grill. He was a "computer geek," and added to his nerd side, a love for Sci-Fi. Jim loved his family and friends, and showed his love through jokes and teasing. Jim and the smiles he created will be missed greatly.
A Memorial Service will take place at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron on Saturday, May 1 at 12:00 noon, with visitation an hour prior, beginning at 11:00 a.m. Please plan to wear a mask and practice social distancing. To leave a message for Jim's family, please scroll below.
