James Gavin Kennedy, "Jimmy", age 13, of Wadsworth, Ohio, died on April 28, 2023 after suffering injuries due to a traffic accident.
He was born on July 22, 2009 in Akron the son of James Paul Kennedy and Elaine Mervin.
Jimmy Jr loved Transformers, video games, talking to his friends on the phone and riding his bike. He also liked to go on adventures with his grandparents, especially to WalMart to buy his transformers. Jimmy Jr loved to make people laugh and was very out-going. He liked to dance and listen to music. Jimmy was a roller coaster enthusiast and loved going to Cedar Point. He also loved the beach and traveling to Florida with his family.
Jimmy was on the wrestling team at Wadsworth Middle School, where he was a 7th grade student. He was currently in Cub Scouts and just received his Arrow of Light to have him go on to Boy Scouts.
Jimmy Jr strived to be like his hero, his dad, his father's 'Mini Me'.
Other than his parents, survivors include his step-mom, Shilo Sellers; many brothers and sisters; his grandparents, Sue and Larry Sheets, Jim Kennedy, Kathy Noall and Darrell Burt; his aunts and uncle, Rachael Holcomb, Eddy (Angie) Holcomb and Sarah Burt; and his special school friend, Serena.
Family and friends may honor Jimmy by attending calling hours at the Wadsworth Middle School Gymnasium, 150 Silvercreek Road, Wadsworth, Ohio 44281 on Sunday, May 7, 2023 from 11:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio.
