James L. Derwin, age 71, went home to the Lord on Sunday, July 21, 2013. He was born on April 8, 1942 in Canton, OH to the late Joseph Derwin and Ella Macmillan. Jim served in the US Air Force and retired from the US Postal Service.
He is a beloved uncle and friend to many and is survived by his brother, Bruce (Pam) Macmillan, aunts, June Dessecker and Norma Angel, nephew, Eric Macmillan, nieces; Kandy Borsch, Cindy (John) Steinbrenner and Heather Burke, great nephews and nieces; Amber, Ashley, Angelica, Antonio, Katie, Kenzie, Darcy, Jessica, Peyton, Leyna and Johnny.
Friends may call 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Ernest Angley's Grace Cathedral, 1055 Canton Rd, Akron, OH 44312. A funeral service will be held at 1:00pm following visitation at the church with Rev. Chris Machamer officiating. Final resting place will be at Chestnut Hill Memorial Park in Cuyahoga Falls.
