He leaves his wife, Kiomoka S. Miller; and mother, Ann Miller; step-mother, Dollie Miller (father, Robert Miller, deceased); daughters, Laura and Kiosha Miller; step-sons, Mike and Joe Stoltz; sister, Julie Stachowiak (Bill Stachowiak); aunts Kaye Wourke (Bill Wourke); Carolyn Kanze; mother-in-law, Gwen English (Milton A. English, deceased); sister-in-law, Holly English-Roberson (David Roberson); brothers-in-law, Milton (Sonny) English and Tramango Roper; closest cousin, David Mendenhall (Karen Mendenhall); three grandchildren; 14 nieces and nephews; and numerous close friends.
Jim served in the U.S. Army. He was a member of Christian Life Center in Kalamazoo, MI.
Calling hours will be Sunday, 6-8 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where a funeral service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. Interment to follow at Mt. Peace Cemetery.
