James Richard Limbach, 88, passed away May 15, 2022 with his family by his side. Born in Sugarcreek, Ohio to Max and Pearl (Beitzel) Limbach, he primarily resided in North Canton, OH and Ft. Myers, FL. Jim was a proud U. S. Navy Veteran and worked for nearly 35 years in security for the Timken Co. Jim had an incredible sense of humor. He was a master wood carver, avid golfer, thoroughly enjoyed all desserts, and loved being with his family.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Norma, and brother-in-law, Bob Bates. He will be greatly missed by his loving wife of 62 years, Mary; daughters, Brenda (Andy) Lang and Cheryl Limbach; grandchildren, McKenzie Burns (Robert Brown), Meredith (Shawn) Adams, Bobby Burns (Megan Halsey); great grandsons, Grant and Austin Adams; sister, Marjorie (John) Beaber; and niece, Leslie (Mike) Harrington.
Jim's family would like to extend their appreciation and gratitude to the excellent care and kindness provided by the healthcare professionals at Summa Akron City Hospital, most notably Kris in the Hospice unit.
Family and friends are invited to visit Saturday, May 21, 2022 from 10 to 11 a.m. at The Akron Yacht Club located at 3575 South Main Street, Akron, Ohio 44319. The memorial service will follow at 11 a.m. at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Jim's name can be made to The Alzheimer's Association or the charity of their choice.
