James Pat Loftus Jr.

James Pat Loftus, Jr., 68, of Akron, passed away peacefully at home on August 10, 2021. He was born on February 25, 1953 to the late James and Juanita Loftus Sr. Jimmy spent most of his career as a machinist, first at B&C Machine and later at Ariel Corp. In his free time, he loved taking a boat out on the water for a day of fishing. He also loved flying and formerly held a pilot's license. Jimmy was a hard worker and dedicated family man. He will be truly missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his sister, Gloria Riddell.
He is survived by his children, Christina, Owen, and Patrick Loftus and their mother, Lois; siblings, Patricia Orlando, Jean Briggs, and Bob Loftus; grandson, Jaxon Loftus; his end of life partner and caregiver, Robbie Anderson; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, and friends.
Per Jimmy's wishes, no formal services will be held. A celebration of his life will take place at a later date.
