James "Jim" H. Loper, 58, of Akron, Ohio passed away peacefully on Friday, March 23, 2018, after a hard fought battle with CHF/COPD. James was born October 27, 1959 to Donald and Nancy Loper of Glendale, Arizona. James served in the US Navy. He was also proud to be clean and sober for over 36 years, and non-smoking for over two years.
James leaves behind his partner of 19 years, Crystal Bellman; son, Michael Bellman-Loper and step-daughter, Rebecca Taylor of Akron, Ohio; son, James Reed-Loper of Denver, Colorado; step-son, John Ramos, of Golden, Colorado; step-daughter, Toni Ramos of Greatbend, Kansas; parents, Donald and Nancy Loper, of Glendale, Arizona. His mom and dad were his rock. They gave him so much strength and love, along with his sisters, Dawn Loper, of Goodyear, Arizona, Kim (Arbre) Kennedy of Ft. Mogan, Colorado, and April (Dave) Mack, of Reeds Port, Oregon. He also leaves behind his last living uncle, Anthony Canino of Denver, Colorado; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and many wonderful friends that were family to him.
In lieu of flowers, James would like you to love, laugh, and enjoy life with loved ones and friends. Go have a nice dinner, watch a movie, play a few board games, or stay at home and relax.
Per James' wishes, cremation will take place.
