James Joseph Mastromatteo, "Jim", age 60 of Tallmadge, Ohio, died on November 14, 2021 at Akron City Hospital after suffering a heart attack.
He was born on May 25, 1961 in Ravenna, Ohio, the son of the late Frank and Norma (nee Presley) Mastromatteo.
Jim was a member of the Akron Railroad Club and Civil War Club.
Survivors include his half-brother, John (Patricia) Firby of Diamond, Ohio; and his nieces and nephews, Heather (Jim) Young of Lake Milton, Edward (Chrissy) Firby of Lordstown, Ohio and Scott David Firby of Southern Pines, NC and all of their families. He also had many friends that survive him through the clubs he belonged.
Other than his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his aunt, Doris Presley.
Graveside Memorial Services will take place at the Spring Grove Cemetery Chapel, 785 East Washington Street, Medina, Ohio 44256 on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at 1:00 PM.
All arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Newcomer Funeral Home, Akron, Ohio.
