James "Jim" D. McGee

James "Jim" Daniel McGee, 78, of Tallmadge, Ohio, passed away Wednesday, November 6, 2024. He was born on July 13, 1946, in Akron, Ohio, to the late Clayton and Adith McGee.

Jim graduated from Ravenna High School in Ravenna, Ohio, in 1964. He proudly served in the Ohio National Guard for six years. Jim worked at the Ravenna Army Ammunition Plant for 43 years where he started as a carpenter and then advanced to a senior management position. He also owned J.D. McGee Maintenance and Remodeling.

Jim will be deeply missed by his wife, Nancy; daughter, Cindy (Randy) Terry; and son, Eric McGee (Laly Huaman-Vega); several grandchildren, Jacque Johnson, Stephen Johnson, Amanda Terry, Maegan (Dan) McCoy, Brittany McGee (Chet Swartzmiller); as well as five great-grandchildren. Jim also leaves behind his brother, Dave McGee; brothers-in-law, James White and R.J. White; and sister-in-law, Margie Curry; along with several nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers, Don McGee and Bill McGee; his daughter, Denise Klein; sisters-in-law, Sharon Edwards and Patricia Wood; along with other family members and friends.

In honoring Jim's wishes, he will be cremated with no calling hours or memorial service.
