James P. McIntire

James P. McIntire, 66, went home to be with the Lord on October 12, 2006. Born March 9, 1939 in Connorsville, OH to the late Charlie McIntire and Helen Pucill. James was a Born Again Christian and a member of Calvary Chapel where he was Baptized. He served in the US Army and retired from 20th Century Heating and Ventilating Company. He was a 20-year member of the Teamsters Local 224. James was a wonderful artist and greatly influenced his beloved grandsons. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Charles "Bud" McIntire; and sister Faye Davidian. Survivors include his loving wife Opal of 37 years; son Mark (Patricia); daughter Tara Varga; grandsons James, Joseph, and Joshua McIntire; members of the Stacy and Gore families; dear friends John, Lawrence J. Whitney, and Dr. Ted Tang. Calling hours will be Sunday, 2-6 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral service Monday, 2 p.m. at the funeral home, Pastor Tom Gale officiating.
