James V. Montagu

James V. Montagu, 77, went Home to be with the Lord on November 24, 2024. Born in Berea, Ohio to William and Virginia (Beardsley) Montagu, he resided in Kent, Ohio all of his adult life. Jim was a proud U. S. Army Veteran, serving in Viet Nam. In 1968 he married the love of his life, Linda Fullard. Jim enjoyed watching the Nebraska Cornhuskers play football. He also loved watching the Browns and Indians, playing bingo, listening to music, taking long drives with his son and daughter-in-law and spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Linda; son, Jimmy. He will be sadly missed by his daughter, Cheryl Ripley; daughter-in-law, Diane "Jenny"; grandsons, Davy, P.J.; great grandchildren, Zane, Lillei; many siblings, nieces and nephews.

Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. The family will have a celebration of Jim's life at a later date. Those who wish may make memorial donations in Jim's name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
