James L. Oliver

James L. "Oli" Oliver, 72, passed away after a long illness on Wednesday, November 8, 2023. He was a proud U. S. Air Force Veteran who served 20 years with the Ohio National Guard.
Jim leaves behind his wife of 33 years, Darlene Oliver; children, Douglas (Tammy) Whited, Candace Whited-Rini; grandchildren, Quartni and Cameron Whited, Briana, David, Madalyn and Isaiah Rini; brothers, Charles Oliver and Ronald Oliver; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Helen Oliver; sister, Fran Martin.
Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday, November 16, 2023 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will take place Friday, November 17 at 12:30 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.
