James Oliver Bucy, Sr.
James O. Bucy, Sr. 88 of Akron, Ohio, departed this world on December 7, 2015. James "Jim" leaves behind his loving wife, Laura "June" (Colgan) of 70 years; his surviving four children Carol (Jack) Snyder, James Jr. (Patty), John "Steve" (Mary) Bucy and Nancy (Al) Kochis, and the late Linda Uebelacker. Mr. Bucy also leaves behind many loving grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mr. Bucy was preceded by his parents, a sister, grandson and great granddaughter.
Jim grew up in Mingo Junction and Steubenville, Ohio, and was a retired member of the Teamsters and Sack's Electric in Akron as well as a member of the Masonic Lodge at Rex Lake. He was an avid Browns fan and loved tinkering around the house. Jim's love for his wife June was immeasurable and evident in every interaction with her over the many years they shared.
Calling hours will be Thursday December 10, 2015 10:00am -12:00pm at The Chapel in Green with a service to immediately follow. Cremation has taken place and burial will be at a later date.
