James A. Orcutt, 83, of Ravenna, passed away November 9, 2006 at his residence. He was born July 1, 1923 in Akron, Ohio to the late Harry & Matha (Copeman) Orcutt. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII and the Korean Conflict and went on to serve as a Fire Fighter for the City of Akron before retiring. As a patriotic man, this life of service made him a hero to many. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Orcutt and sister, Eva Larsen. He is survived by his loving wife of 26 years, Delores (Montoni) Orcutt of Ravenna; daughter, Carol (Tom) Janello of Michigan; son, Craig (Pat) Orcutt of Georgia; sister, Norma Foltz of Akron; brother, Fred Orcutt of Mogadore; 19 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; extended family members, Renee Gerring, John Stamm, Kim Cotten, Lisa Young and Traci Walker and families. Calling hours will be Sunday from 6 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N.
