James L. Pfaff

James L. Pfaff, age 74, of Tallmadge, passed away on July 28, 2024. He was born on January 10, 1950 in Alliance, Ohio to the late Donald and Doris (Meloni) Pfaff and graduated in 1968 from West Branch High School. Jim attended Kent State University where he studied music. While in college, Jim began dating Ellen Beamer and nine years later, they married August 1977. He retired from Cornwell Quality Tools in Mogadore. He enjoyed drag racing, blues and jazz music (he played saxophone, flute and piano), and learning new information and knowledge as he was a fix-it-all kind of guy. Jim had a love of drag racing even driving his own 1966 Plymouth Barracuda at Quaker City Dragstrip. He shared his love of music with his daughter and grandchildren. When asked for help, Jim enjoyed sharing his knowledge in a detailed hands on manner. Throughout the years, he shared his cooking skills.

He is survived by his wife of 46 years Ellen; daughter Lisa Pfaff; grandchildren Rowan and Ari; brothers Donald (Kathy) and Raymond (Kathy); nieces and nephews; and other family and friends.
