James "Jim" Ramsey, Jr. age 74 of Tallmadge, passed away on November 1, 2021.
He was born on February 19, 1947 in Ann Arbor, Michigan to James and Mary Alice (Starrett) Ramsey. Jim was proud of the decades he spent as a software engineer. Jim enjoyed humor, especially puns, displaying them on his T-shirts. However, what made him truly joyous was helping others. He loved being a church elder and reaching out during dark times. He was a faithful and supportive husband and father and passionate about justice for all.
Jim leaves behind a wife, Sally, and two sons J.J. and D.C.
A memorial service will be held at New Horizons Christian Church in Akron on Friday, November 12, 2021 at 1:00 p.m.
The family is requesting that everyone who attends the service wear a mask.
