James Richard Crawford Sr.

James Richard Crawford Sr., age 60, passed away on April 19, 2025 at 11:30 p.m. peacefully at home with his family surrounding him. Jim was born on Tuesday, July 28, 1964 to Laverne and Katherine (Bergdorf) Crawford in Erie, PA. They moved to Coventry Township around 1970 where he made life-long friends.

He worked at Wrayco Ind in Hudson for almost 30 years until its closing in 2017, where he had multiple friends he loved to spend time with. He also worked for other companies Malco Products, Akron Gasket and Packaging, and finally Heinz Kraft, where he currently was employed.

He met his wife Angela (Culwell) Crawford at Lakeview Market and they married on April 25, 1997.

Jim is survived by his wife; son James Crawford Jr. "JR"; daughter Mandi Fullen; and grandchildren Alecia, Dre, and Aaliyah; mother Katherine Crawford of Erie, PA.; sisters Cynthia (Ralph) Friend, and Carol Brown both of Erie, PA., and Patty Mallo of Largo, FL.; brother Gary (Pat) Crawford of Townville, PA.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and great-nieces, and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Laverne Crawford, brothers Johnny and Tony Crawford, sister Lorraine (Peewee) Randolph, and Sr. JoAnne Crawford.

Jim put up a good fight with cancer, but sadly lost this short battle all too soon. Following cremation, there will be a Celebration of Life service at a later date. He has requested there be an annual Corn Hole Tournament to be played in remembrance of him. He enjoyed playing corn hole with his family and friends, as well as playing golf with his nephews and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him dearly.
