James Junior Rothwell

James Junior Rothwell, "Jim", age 90 of Akron, Ohio, died on January 24, 2019 at his home.
He was born on July 28, 1928 in Hempfield Twp., PA, the son of the late James and Rose (nee Knecht) Rothwell.
Jim was an honorably discharged US Navy veteran during the Korean War.
He was a Master Mason affiliated with the Wayfarer Masonic Lodge #0789 in Akron for over 65 years.
Jim worked for Goodyear Aerospace as a vinyl producer, he retired after 30 years of service. Mr. Rothwell enjoyed fishing and going to the Hartville Flea Market. He also was a licensed auctioneer with the State of Ohio for many years.
Survivors include his only son, James A. (Jacqueline "Jackie") Rothwell; his two grandchildren, Sarah J. and James D. Rothwell; his great-grandchild, James C. Rothwell. His siblings also survive, William "Bill" Rothwell and Becky Sims.
Other than his parents, Jim was preceded in death by his wife, the former Doris Jeanne Kaufman, on November 15, 2007; and his siblings, Richard Rothwell, Delores Cottrell, and Gladys Presson.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 30, 2019 at 6:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, where Pastor Anthony J. Wiggins will celebrate Jim's life.
Family and friends may visit at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4:00 - 6:00 PM.
