James R. Securro, 61, of Akron, passed away September 11, 2009. He was born in Akron on July 30, 1948 to the late Sammy and Bertha Securro. James attended Ellet High School. Throughout his life, he enjoyed camping, fishing, and spending time with family and friends. He was a hot rod and Harley enthusiast and loved drawing. For many years, he found a special joy in playing Santa Claus at various events. He will be deeply missed by his devoted wife of 40 years, Theresa, who never broke her wedding vow "for better or for worse"; son and best friend, Jimbo (Tara) Securro; daughter and little angel, Brandi (Paul) Achberger; brother, Tom (Susie) Securro; sister, Carolyn (Jeff); grandchildren, Olivia, Ava, and Austin; Toby and sixteen loving nieces and nephews; and many other relatives and close friends. The family would like to thank Mary Ellen Taras and Hospice for all the care given to James. His words: "Don't grieve, I had a wonderful life, but do remember me once in a while."
