James L. Sendelbach

James L. Sendelbach, 92, passed away May 5, 2021 at Village of St. Edward at Fairlawn. Born in Akron, Ohio to Alphons and Goldie (Bigelow) Sendelbach, he resided in the area most of his adult life. Jim was a proud U. S. Navy Veteran and he previously worked for McNeil, Inc. He greatly enjoyed attending mass, going out to eat with family and friends and exercising. He was a member of Holy Family Church in Stow, Moose Lodge 1082, AARP Chapter 5038, Masons, Eastern Star, Craft, NARFF and PERIS.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alphons and Goldie (Bigelow) Sendelbach, his wife Ruth (Tschantz) Sendelbach, sister Martha Pokotac, brothers Clayton and Robert Sendelbach. Jim will be missed by step-children, Dru (Dave) Fiala, Jim (Patti) Tschantz, Linda (Tom) McNeil; step-grandchildren, Jackie (Dave) Swanson, Eric Tschantz, Carla (Blake) Miner, Lauren McNeil; great step-grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to visit Monday, May 10, 2021 from 10 to 11 a.m. at Newcomer, Akron Chapel, 131 N. Canton Rd. The funeral service will immediately follow at the funeral home Father Paul Rosing will be officiating. Due to Covid 19 concerns please expect to wear masks and follow current social distancing guidelines. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Those who wish, may make a memorial donation in Jim's name to Village of St Edwards Nursing or Hospice in Fairlawn Ohio or to Holy Family Church in Stow Ohio.
