James D. Smith, 67, of Akron, passed away November 10, 2004. Jim was born April 6, 1937 in Cuyahoga Falls to the late James P. and Elsie Smith. He is survived by his wife of 17 years, Carolyn Kay Smith; daughters, Pam (Jack) Lynch of Kent, Shellie Smith of New Port Richey, FL, and Fama (Frank) Neely of Akron; son, Robert (Debra) Smith of Dunedin, FL; sister, Rosemary (Richard) Turner of Tallmadge; grandchildren, Tiffany, Jennifer, Dannielle, and Zack Lynch, Ashley and Jessica Smith, and Amber and Jacob Neely; nephews, Robert (Maria) Harkins of California and Jeff (Debra) Harkins of Texas. A memorial service will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at NEWCOMER-FARLEY FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., with Pastor Joseph Lee officiating. Visitation from 1:00 until the time of service.
