James E. Speck

James E. Speck, 90, of Akron, passed away on January 22, 2025. He was born in Barberton, Ohio on November 18, 1934 to the late Russell and Irene Speck.

James proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps (Korea) before opening a commercial cleaning business.

In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his loving wife, Marie; his infant son, James Jr.; his daughter, Tonia; and brothers, Francis and Phillip.

He is survived by his children, Steve Martin, Mike Martin, Denise Trail, Tammy Maximovich, Lynn Arbogast, David Speck, Kiowa Speck, Duane Speck, Melisa Speck, and Joseph Speck; sisters, Lana Thomas and Carol Skuban; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Per James's wishes, there will be no services. He will be laid to rest at Greenwood Cemetery in Mogadore.
