James F. Steele

October 16, 1932 — June 13, 2021

James F. Steele, 88, of Uniontown, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 13, 2021. Born in Centerville, OH on October 16, 1932 to the late Raymond and Ruth Steele. He was a long distance truck driver and retired from Hamrick Truck Driving School as an instructor. He served in the Navy during the Korean War.

Preceded in death by brothers, John, Joe, Roy, Bob; sister, Mary; and son, Ron Steele. Survived by wife, Dorothy "Dottie" Steele; brother, Paul Steele; children, Robin Touton, Diane Glaser, Dan Steele, Lynnette Phipps and Ron Crissman; 11 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and loved by many other nieces, family and friends.

Friends may call from 10am-12pm on Monday, June 21 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service to begin at 12pm. Interment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery to follow.
