James H. Strain, 65, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 10, 2006. He was born in Rapid City, SD but resided in Akron for the last 33 years. He will be sorely missed by his best friend and wife, Vicki; his loving daughters Carla Linaburg, Sheryll and John Josey, and Terri and Randy Hill. He is also leaving seven wonderful grandchildren, James, Brian, Crystal, J.D., Jacob, Dee, and Aaron; and many friends. Calling hours will be Thursday, 6-9 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Funeral service Friday, 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment at Greenlawn Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital.
