James Martin Sullivan, Sr., 71, passed away August 3, 2021 with his wife, Barb and grandson, John by his side. Born in Akron, Ohio to Harold and Doris (Young) Sullivan, he was a lifelong Akron area resident. Jim served in the U. S. Marine Corps from 1969-71 and he retired in 2015 from Owens Corning. He greatly enjoyed golf, bowling, watching Ohio State football, volunteering with Toys for Tots, his involvement with the Marine Corps League and spending time with his family.
In addition to his parents, Jim is preceded in death by siblings, Gloria Williams, Donald Sullivan. He will be sadly missed his wife of almost 51 years, Barb; children, James (Kimberly) Sullivan, Jr., Kim Johnson; grandchildren, Jaycie, John, Jimmy, Courtney, Jarod; sister, Tug (Don) Elzholz; nieces, nephews and friends.
Per his wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal services. His family will have a private inurnment at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery at a later date.
