James W. White
James W. White, 80, of Randolph, Ohio passed away October 20, 2008. He was born November 19, 1927 in Akron, Ohio and graduated from Garfield High School in 1946. James served in the U.S. Army then worked for the U.S. Postal Service. In his free time, he enjoyed family gatherings, fishing and traveling. He was preceded in death by his parents, Delmar and Mary White; wife, Doris (Oden) White; sons, William and Donald White; brothers, Eugene and Paul White; brothers-in-law, Oscar Oden, Fred Selby and Ronald Fohner; sister-in-law, Barbara Oden. He is survived by his daughter, Linda (Tom) Nellis; sons, Robert and John (Darla) White; daughters-in-law, Becky White and Debra Wilson; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; brother, David (Lou) White; sisters, Ruth (Raymond) Smith and Martha (Milford) Smith; in-laws, Jean Selby, Mary Fohner, Betty Oden, Jack Oden, Ted and Marcella Oden; numerous nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.
