James D. Walder

September 1, 1949 — December 8, 2024

James D. Walder, 75, of Canal Fulton, passed away on December 8, 2024. Born in Barberton on September 1, 1949 to the late Pete and Lucille (Barlow) Walder and graduated from Kenmore High School. He spent 24 years as a firefighter/paramedic for the City of Akron. James was always with his loving wife Jackie enjoying water skiing, bicycling the towpath and yearly vacations to Cancun. Jim was a devoted husband to his wife Jackie and took loving care of her through her long struggle with Alzheimer's.

James is survived by his son Michael (Aimee) Walder; granddaughter Chloe; sister Meg (Bob) Richmond; and extended family. 

He was preceded in death by his wife Jackie on September 2, 2024.

 Visitation will be held Sunday December 15th from 3-5 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Monday (11 AM- 12 noon). Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 16th at 12:00 pm at the funeral home with Rev. Billy Kremer officiating.
