James P. Webb

James P. Webb, 69, of Stow, went home to be with the Lord on September 2, 2005 after a courageous battle with cancer leaving behind many friends and loved ones. He was born June 17, 1936 in Richwood, West Virginia. James served in the U.S. Navy and later retired from IBM. In his free time, his passion was golf. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clifford & Girlda (Casto) Webb. James is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Barbara J. (Shaffer) Webb of Stow; daughter, Jeannie (David) Tripp of Tallmadge; grandchildren, Ron, Shannon, Kelli, Tami, Tina and Frank; great-grandson, Preston; brother, Lewis "Jr." (Sally) Webb of Florida. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. where funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. with Rev. Jim Ellis officiating. Interment will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Park with military honors provided by Mogadore VFW 8487. Memorial contributions may be sent to Richwood High School Alumni Association, P.O.
