James Howard Williams
September 19, 1932 — February 8, 2022
James H. Williams went home to be with his LORD and Savior on February 8, 2022. He leaves behind Carolyn, his wife of 64 years; daughters Kellie Brown, Lisa Williams and Lynn (Chris) Donley; grandchildren Catherine (Jonathan) Pigford, Jameson Brown, Natalie (Matthew) Noble and Victoria Brown.
He served in the U.S. Army and he retired from Ohio Edison after 37 years.
He served the LORD faithfully as a Sunday School teacher, Deacon and Elder. He was a mighty prayer warrior. He will be dearly missed, yet we rejoice knowing he is Home with the LORD.
One of his favorite verses was John 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
The family wishes to thank Pleasant View and Crossroads Hospice for their kindness and care.
Family and Friends are welcome to visit on Sunday, February 13, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd. Akron, OH 44305 from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral service with well-deserved military honors begins at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Butch Pursley from Maranatha Bible Church officiating.
