Jane L. Martin, 87, of Phoenix, Arizona, passed away October 26, 2004 at Hospice of St. Luke's in Arizona. She was born August 7, 1917 in Lockhaven PA. She is preceded in death by her parents, Warren & Edna Best; husband, Samuel R. Martin, Sr.; daughter, Virginia Martin; great-granddaughter, Shelly "Lynn" Roberts. She is survived by her daughters, Sally (Bernie) Frye of Akron, Carolyn (Ken) Pickering of Phoenix AZ, Marcia (Mike) Buterbaugh of Akron, Cheryl (Frank) Mullins of West Virginia; sons, Samuel (Dorothy) Martin, Jr. of Akron, Claude (Martha) Martin of Phoenix, Tom Martin of Phoenix, David (Florence) Martin of Akron, Gary (Diane) Martin of Akron; 35 grandchildren; 67 great-grandchildren; 9 great-great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday at Hillside Memorial Park with Rev. Robert Stephens officiating.
