Jane C. Ramskogler, age 90 of Uniontown, Ohio, died on Friday, March 19, 2016 at 6:39 AM at her home.
She was born on December 16, 1925 in Akron, Ohio, the daughter of the late Garnett Ollie and Minnie Bertha Riddlebaugh Lowry.
Jane was a 1943 East High School graduate. She was a homemaker and enjoyed doing a great deal of things. Mentioning a few, she loved gardening, counted cross stitch, and painting. Jane worked during WWII as a riveter at Firestone.
Survivors include her children, Candy (Tom) Mollica of Maryland, Bill (Rae) Shacklett, Scott (Jessica) Ramskogler of Georgia, Becky Ranskogler, and Heidi Berlin; 11 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren.
Other than her parents, Jane was preceded in death by her husband, Herman R. Ramskogler in 2001, they were united in marriage on 5/29/1962; one son, Danny Shacklett, and one brother, Ralph Lowry.
Memorial services will be held at 12:00 pm, Thursday, March 24, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron. Family and friends may gather from 10 AM until the time of the service.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude Children Hospital or to Crossroads Hospice.
