Janet C. Henry-Oakes

Janet C. Henry-Oakes, 87, of Brimfield Twp., passed away on April 25, 2018. She was born in Tiltonsville, Ohio on November 17, 1930 to the late Harold and Lois Burkhead.
Janet retired from Kroger's Grocery. She was a longtime member of Suffield United Church of Christ and a past member of the Eastern Star. In addition to her parents, Janet was preceded in death by her first husband, Harold Henry; second husband, Gerald Oakes; son, Eddie Henry; 3 brothers and 1 sister. She will be dearly missed by her children, Shellie Dolly, Teri Barry, Marcie (Guy) Fogel, and Mark Henry; brother, William (Gail) Burkhead; sister, Martha Brown; grandchildren, Shannon, Christopher, Brandon (Jennifer), Sabrina, Jerimie (Roxie), Jamie (Bryan), and Scott (Jen); 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 29, 2018 from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:00 a.m. with visitation for one hour prior. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice Care Center, 3358 Ridgewood Rd., Akron, OH 44333.
