Janet M. Rhoades

Janet M. Rhoades, 77, of Akron, passed away November 14, 2008 at his residence. She was born November 24, 1930 in Owensboro, Kentucky to the late Delmar & Eva (Hartz) Fenwick. Janet was a member of Green Valley United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister and brother-in-law, Betty & Bob Simmons; son-in-law, Glenn Lane; and grandson, Jason Lane. She is survived by her husband, Ellsworth Rhoades of Akron; daughters, Darlene (Kevin) Hallman of Coventry Twp. and Barbara (Richard) Bordonaro of Springfield Twp.; sons, Christopher (Lisa) of Atwater and Mark (Pollyann) of Springfield Twp.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Monday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron where funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Jody Hill officiating. Interment will follow at Hillside Memorial Park. The family wishes to extend their thanks to Hospice of Summa for their care.
