Janet Marie Speelman, 74, joined her family on Saturday, July 27, 2013. She was born on September 21, 1938 in Summit Mills, PA.
Preceded in death by her mother, Luella Grace LaRue; husband, Glenn R. Speelman; and her daughter, Janis L. Speelman Sasinouski.
Survivors include daughter, Beth and son-in-law, Keith Cumberlidge; son-in-law, Carl Sasinouski; sister-in-law, Helen Speelman; brothers and sisters-in-law, Phil and Nancy LaRue and Sam and Beatrice LaRue; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gloria and John Tressler and Connie and Greg Stizer; many nieces and nephews; adopted granddaughters, Jodi Masiella and Jennifer Fisher; special friends, Sheila Cumberlidge and Jeanette M. Courtney; her furry companions, Ruby, Baby, Chaz-Bo.
Calling hours will be Wednesday, 3-6 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a funeral service to follow at 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of Visiting Nurse or the American Diabetes Association.
