Janet R. Coomer, 75, of Akron, passed away March 8, 2010. Janet was born January 22, 1935 and grew up in Ellet. She was a current resident of the Maple Woods Care Center. In her free time, she enjoyed reading, movies, and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Paul and Naomi McAllister and life companion, Carl Young. She will be deeply missed by her children, Sherry (Stan) Porter, Laura (Bob) Smith, Sandra (Juan) Gomez, Paul (Susan) Coomer and family, and Carol (Tim) Anderson; sister, Marian Springston; and grandchildren, Jesse, Randy, Felicia, and Natylye. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5-8 p.m. at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., where funeral services will be held Friday at 12 noon. Interment at Hillside Memorial Park.
