Janet Stacy, 75, passed away June 5, 2009 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Bradshaw, WV on June 8, 1933. Janet retired from the Summit County Children's Home as a child care giver. She was an avid gardener and loved her flowers and humming birds. Preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Mary Sutherland; and son, Quinton Stacy. Janet is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Ernest, Sr.; children, Loretta (Russell) Stacy-Westfall and Ernest, Jr. (Vickie); 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Earlene Glazman; brother, Marshall "Pete" Sutherland; many nieces, nephews and friends. Calling hours will be Monday, June 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, where funeral services will be Tuesday, June 9, at 1 p.m. with a visitation one hour prior. Ed Holcomb will officiate the service. Interment at Restland Cemetery.
