Janice A. Lane

Janice Lane went home to be with Jesus on Saturday, December 30. She was surrounded by her family during her final days.

Janice grew up in Akron, OH. Her family moved to Green Township, and she graduated from Green High School in 1964. She had been a long-time resident of Springfield Township where she and John Sr. raised their four children.

Janice loved the family cookouts and Christmas parties held at her home. She loved collecting all things Pillsbury Doughboy and especially loved watching her beloved Cleveland Indians and Cleveland Cavaliers.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jack Waldroup, mother, Lula Mae Waldroup Parker, and brother Clifford Waldroup.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years John Sr.; brother James Waldroup (Lisa), sister Kathy Bowman (Barney), sister-in-law Linda Waldroup; her children Sandra ller (Jeff), John Jr. (Gina), her twins Robert (Lynn) and Ronald (Susie); her grandchildren Philip Iler, Zack Lane, Alex Lane, Emily Lane, Katherine Iler, Drew Lane, Rebekah Lane, Amara Lane, Jayden Lane as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend their gratitude for the amazing care provided by the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospital staff. In leu of flowers the family would ask for a donation to the Caregiver Catalyst Grants to support the staff of Akron General at https://give.ccf.org/give/212157.

Visitation will be held January 8th, Monday from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home (131 N. Canton Rd., Akron) where services will be held Tuesday at 11:00am with Pastor Fred Webb officiating.
Interment will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
