Janice M. Wicks (nee Allen)
Janice M. Wicks, 76, born in Akron, passed away February 18, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was "mom and grammy" to everyone that knew her. Janice was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Georgetta Allen; brother, Carl Allen; husband, William Wicks; son, William Lee Wicks; daughters, Darlene Singleton and Daneen Townsend; and son-in-law, Rudolph Bargerhuff. She is survived by her daughters, Denise (Bob) Mignano, Dorrinda Bargerhuff (Jimmy), Misty (Jimmy) Fike, Deidra Wicks (Russell) and Donnita O'Farrell (Jim Singleton); 12 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; special friends, Dorthy Rezsuta and Valerie Norris (JR); brothers, Robert (Vivian) Allen of NV and Donald (Janice) Allen of FL; sister, Naomi Overholt of Stow, OH; in-laws, Mack and Judy Wicks; and many loving extended family members. Cremation has taken place. Friends may call on Wednesday, February 23, from 4 to 7 pm at the Woman's Club (FOP Lodge), 436 Graham Rd., Cuyahoga Falls, where a celebration of life will follow at 7 pm. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
