Janie Minton Cheatwood

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of our mother, Janie Minton Cheatwood, who passed away on December 24, 2020. She was born on April 1, 1930, the daughter of the late James M. and Bertie {Rhoton} Minton.
In addition to her parents, Janie is preceded in death by 12 of her siblings, daughters-in-law Jane Frymyer and Sherry Cheatwood, and son-in-law Tony Stout.
Janie is survived by her children, Don Frymyer, Peggy Stout, Tom Cheatwood, Patricia Horton, Nilla Cheatwood, Becky (Tim) Miller; 15 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; sister Mary Miller; many nieces and nephews.
Janie worked for 35 years in the front room at the A&W Root Beer Stand in Kent, and was loved dearly by her coworkers and regulars. She always seemed to have a listening ear and a ready smile.
Janie's family would like to extend their gratitude to the staff at The Avenue at Macedonia for their compassionate care of Janie in the last several years of her life, and also Crossroads Hospice for their care, especially in her final days.
