Jarod Kelley Dowdell, age 20 of Barberton, went Home to be with the Lord on Sunday, September 5th, 2021. He was born in Akron, Ohio on April 28th, 2001, to Heather King and the late Joshua Dowdell.
In addition to his father, Jarod was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Billy "Pappa Bill" Thomas and Daniel "Grandpa Danny" King Sr.; and his great-grandparents, Manuel "Papap" Millianoes, Helen and Melvin King, and Jimmy Moore.
Jarod attended Barberton city schools, graduating in 2019, where he completed the engineering career technical program, to follow in his Grandpa Jon's footsteps. Jarod had many dreams in his heart, but like most young adults, was still undecided. He also aspired to join the Air Force, and open a barber shop with his dad, Josh. He would have excelled at any of his dreams, but unfortunately, COVID cut his life too short.
Jarod is survived by his mother, his sister, Bella Gadd; his brother, Jayden Dowdell; his grandparents, Pam Dowdell, Donna Thomas, Marcia King and Jon Pike, James and Christine Dowdell; his aunt, Julie Dowdell-Norman; his uncle, Shawn Norman; his uncle, Michaell Norman; his aunt, Eva Norman; his uncle, Daniel King Jr.; his cousins, Dylan and Deanna Norman, Christian Phillips, Caleb Phillips, Matt Norman, Max Norman, and Josie Norman; his great-grandparents, June Millianoes, Lena Lowe, Forest "DeeDee" and Marie May, and Peg Moore; and his friends, Drew Shields and Cameron.
Jarod's life may have been cut far too short, but the impact he left on the hearts of those he loved will last forever. Everyone that loved him looks forward to the day they will see him again.
