Jason W. Carlton

Jason W. Carlton, 33, passed away unexpectedly February 6, 2018. He was born July 30, 1984 in Akron and was a longtime resident of the area before settling with his family in the suburbs of Cleveland. Jason attended Tallmadge High School and received an Associate of Liberal Arts from Tri-C.


Jason was extremely proud of his family. He was an amazing father, bragging about his children any chance he could get and considered them his greatest accomplishments in life. He loved his wife with all his heart and enjoyed doing little things to make her smile. Jason had a passion for helping people, always putting others before himself and always had an ear or hand to lend. He tried to make everyone happy and would do anything to get them to laugh. Everyone was a friend to Jason, no one was a stranger; no matter where he went, he left that place with a friend. He had no fears. He was a thrill-seeker and enjoyed anything that got his adrenaline going. Jason was extremely competitive, he always had to be the best at whatever he was doing. Music was a big part of his life, it was his outlet and an insight into his thoughts and feelings.


Jason is preceded in death by his sister, Tricia Carlton, and grandparents, E.G. (Red) and Wanda Lewis. He is survived by his loving wife, Stephanie MacDonald; children, Kaylana (11), Maraya (10), Kyesin (1); brothers, Bret and Jeffery; parents, Jack and Judy; nieces including Hailey; nephews; and many cousins, aunts uncles, and friends.


Visitation will be held from 1-6:45 pm on Friday, February 16, 2018 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron. Funeral service will begin at 6:45 pm. Cremation to follow.
