Jason Paul Lee, age 46, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on October 27, 2021. He was born in Akron on January 28, 1975.
Due to an auto accident, at the age of 10 months, he suffered a traumatic brain injury. In this same accident, his sister, Jody passed away to Heaven.
Jason proved all the doctors wrong, who said he would never walk. At the age of 5 years, he got to his feet and walked, and never looked back. He taught us to never give up, and we will succeed. Do not accept, "you cannot do something." We the family feel that he is our 'miracle boy' and he will forever be our 'miracle boy'.
Jason graduated from North High School and spent many years golfing, bowling, dancing, fishing, camping, enjoying life to the fullest, going to "Heads Up No Boundaries" functions; and all together bringing joy and wonder into everyone's life who knew him.
He showed us all how to love and leaves behind a legacy of love and joy!
Jason is survived by his many relatives, whom will miss him so very much. His aunts and uncles, Mary (Karl) Boss, Debbie Stringfield, Jesse (Maru) Jones, "crazy aunt" Candy Teets, Tammy Jones; great aunt LuVanie (age 101). Also surviving are his cousins in Alabama and Virginia, as well as, locally, Renee (Gary) Moyers, Michelle (Pete) Flower, Trisha (Kenny) Price, Brenda (Damon) Greer, Misty Jones, Jesse (Jamie) Jones Jr, Ben (Colleen) Simon, Dustin Teets, Chrystal Berns, and several 2nd cousins and one baby 3rd cousin; and his long time girlfriend, Mandy Huffman and his "mother-in-law", Valerie Huffman.
Those that went to the Lord before Jason was his beloved mother, Sharilyn (nee Jones) Long; his uncles and aunts, Timothy "Timmy" Jones, Willie Jones, Rebecca "Becky" Simon and Kathy Jones.
The family would like to express special gratitude and love toward every staff member at the Cleveland Clinic Akron General Hospice Care Center on Ridgewood Road in Akron (Fairlawn). They showed gentle love and care toward Jason, of which you cannot imagine how wonderful. Also the love and support they provided to the family. Words escape us. For this, we, his family, will be eternally grateful.
