Jason Eric Stover, "Jay", age 50 of Akron, Ohio, passed away on September 4, 2022, enjoying time at his new cabin. Jay enjoyed the outdoors, being an avid fisherman and hunter.
He was born on July 26, 1972 in Akron, the son of Gary L. and Jacqualine (nee Fortner) Stover of Mogadore.
He worked very hard building his company, owning and operating Jay Stover Construction and had been in the business for 30 years plus.
Jay was a friend to all who knew him.
In addition to his parents, he was a devoted family man, a loving husband to his wife, Jessica; he cherished his children, Wyatt and Lucy; and his best friend, his dog, Punkin.
Also surviving are his siblings, Nichole (Bill) Lerch, Simon Stover and Rozlyn (Teddy) Adkins; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and his Cougarz family, who loved him very much and mourn his loss.
Jay will be reunited with his loving son, Issac Roland "Ike" Stover, and other family members who preceded him in death.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 1:00 - 5:00 PM on Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 131 North Canton Road, Akron, Ohio 44305.
In lieu of flowers, if you are interested in making a donation to the Stover Family, you can do so at any Chase Bank. Simply tell them you would like to make a donation to the Jessica Stover savings account. Chase will not accept cash but will accept checks, money orders or process a transfer from an existing Chase account.
